A proposed rezoning plan for the so-called northeast corridor in the town of Ramapo will go before residents in a Zoom meeting tomorrow night. Ramapo supervisor Michael Specht says the proposed rezoning for a mostly rural section of town eliminates development along Route 45 and excludes the town’s two highest density housing zones, but does allow for increased business and residential development on New Hempstead Road and Route 202…
The plan also allows for a potentially large townhouse project at the former Minisceongo Golf Club site off Pomona Road and Camp Hill Road near the Boulders Ballpark. Specht says the public hearing on the final generic environmental impact statement is scheduled via zoom for tomorrow night at 7pm. Residents can also send their comments to the Ramapo Town Clerk’s Office. Click here for the Zoom meeting and other details.
