Ramapo Suspends Deputy Building Inspector Suspended for Gun Charges, Other Crimes

September 14, 2021 by Jeff Lewis

Ramapo’s deputy building inspector has been suspended as he faces local and federal gun charges and other crimes. Ramapo Supervisor Michael Specht told “The Morning Show” Friday that Airmont Deputy Mayor, Brian Downey, will get his due process…

Downey faces criminal cases from the U.S. Attorney’s Office and Rockland’s D-A, following his arrest earlier this month. The 47 year-old has been employed by the town since 2007. He was elected to the Airmont Village Board in March 2019. We’ve reached out for comment, but we have not heard back.
