Ramapo Sup: “Everyone Should Ratchet Down the Rhetoric”

September 9, 2019 by helpdesk1

Ramapo’s supervisor would like to see leaders from all sides ratchet down the rhetoric when it comes to building and life in Rockland County. Ramapo supervisor Michael Specht believes the video posted on the Rockland Republican party’s Facebook page was anti-semitic, but he’d like to see everyone move forward and find ways to improve the situation…

Specht says building is not out-of-control in his town, but to question any specific development on environmental or other legitimate concerns is fair. Rockland County Executive Ed Day says the issue is the rate at which suburban communities are seeing large buildings come in…

The offending video, you may recall, was pulled from the GOP’s Facebook page but lives on in various corners of the internet. Hundreds came out to vent about the situation at last week’s legislature meeting.
