Ramapo Police Blotter: Woman Uninjured after Car Rolls Down 202 Embankment; PD Warns of Car Break-ins

October 6, 2020 by helpdesk1

A woman was uninjured after the car she was driving over the weekend rolled down an embankment on Route 202 after she swerved to avoid hitting a deer. Ramapo Police say it happened early Saturday afternoon near Mayer Drive in Montebello.

Ramapo Police are also warning residents to keep their car doors locked and remove valuables from your cars after a series of recent break-ins. Police say in each case, the suspects gained entry into the vehicles through unlocked doors. They say you should also park inside if possible or as close to your home as you can, in well-lit or high-visibility areas. You should also remove all keys and garage door openers from the car to prevent access to your home.
