A Queens man was arrested in Ramapo over the weekend and accused of stealing cooking oil from local restaurants and businesses. Ramapo Police say the 49 year-old unidentified man had been seen several times over the last few weekends coming into the area and stealing the oil. He was followed on Saturday entering Monsey, caught in the act, and arrested without incident. Police say he had heroin and was charged with Petit Larceny, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of Burglars Tools, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. His vehicle and equipment were impounded, but he was released from custody pending a future court appearance.
