Public officials are urging caution when it comes to COVID as the Thanksgiving holiday approaches, and the number of cases and deaths in the county rise. Rockland County Executive Ed Day says increases in the numbers lately seem to be coming more from indoor gatherings and youth travel sports, but less so from the restaurants, gyms and retail shops that have had precautions in place for some time…

COVID-19 by the numbers now, here in Rockland, we’ve lost another to COVID, the death toll now at 692. We’ve got 54 in the hospital confirmed with coronavirus, and a total of 1,507 active cases. The state says since the crisis began, we’ve had a total of 20,351 reported cases, 112 more than Friday.
