Polls Tighten in NY Governor’s Race

The race for governor is tightening, depending on whom you ask and what poll you’re watching. One released yesterday gave Governor Kathy Hochul, a Democrat, an eleven point advantage, but another gave her a slim single-digit lead over her GOP challenger, Congressman Lee Zeldin. Rockland state senator Elijah Reichlin-Melnick predicted on “The Morning Show” yesterday that in the run-up to Election Day, Republicans will stress economic issues…

Stony Point and Orange County Assemblyman, Republican Colin Schmitt, calls Lee Zeldin a straight-shooter, in contrast to the governor…

A Quinnipiac University poll had Hochul just four points ahead of Zeldin, while a Siena College poll had her lead at eleven points.
