Police: Nanuet Accident Victim Drove Wrong Way on Route 304 for Miles Before Crash

June 15, 2021 by helpdesk1

The man killed in a single car crash early Sunday morning in Nanuet is believed to have driven the wrong way on Route 304 before plunging off an overpass to the street below. Clarkstown Police say the Ford Mustang was found overturned near the median in the eastbound lanes of Route 59. They say the driver, 25 year-old Michael Magee had been traveling northbound in the southbound lanes on Route 304 for more than two miles, jumping a guardrail and down onto Route 59. The Clarkstown Police Accident Investigation Team has not definitively determined any contributing factors at this time. Anyone who may have information on the incident should contact the Clarkstown Police at 845-639-5800.
