Paterson Man Killed After Gas Tanker Truck Explodes in Mahwah

Several fire companies from Rockland assisted colleagues in New Jersey when a gasoline tanker rolled over and burst into flames early Saturday morning off Route 287. DailyVoice.com reports the 59-year-old driver from Paterson was killed in the crash on Route 287 near the border in Mahwah. Routes 17 and 287 were closed for about two hours as firefighters battled the blaze. One minor firefighter injury was reported.
