Reuters reported Senate Majority Leader, Democrat Chuck Schumer, said yesterday they’re preparing a stopgap spending bill that would avert a partial government shutdown. House Republicans have not yet said what their next move would be. In other Congressional news, a bill that would require auto manufacturers to continue offering AM radios in their cars was overwhelmingly passed by the House Energy and Commerce Committee Wednesday. The bill, “AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act” next heads to the full House for a vote.
