Orangetown Settles South Nyack Dispute with Orthodox Jewish School Over Issues at Former Nyack College Campus

July 1, 2024 by Jeff Lewis

The town of Orangetown has settled a lawsuit originally started by the former village of South Nyack and an Orthodox Jewish school that took over the former Nyack College campus. Orangetown supervisor Teresa Kenny says the suit centered on fire and safety violations and the use of the property’s buildings by Yeshiva Viznitz D’Khal Chaim, which bought the 107-acre property for $45 million in four years ago…

South Nyack dissolved two years ago and was absorbed by the town of Orangetown.
