Orangetown Residents File Suit to Stop Area Farm from Operating as a Cidery

July 12, 2022 by Jeff Lewis

A group of Orangetown residents has gone to court after complaints about a farm allegedly operating improperly as a cidery in a residential neighborhood have gone unremedied. They’ve filed a lawsuit against Rockland Cider Works, the company’s landlord, the town and the New York Liquor Authority, and editor of RCBizJournal.com Tina Traster says they’re hoping to shut it down…

Orangetown supervisor Teresa Kenny says the town and the owners of Rockland Cider Works had tried to come to an agreement, but it didn’t work out…

According to RCBizJournal.com, the neighbors say their homes have lost value and that the farm-winery license is invalid.
