February 7, 2020 by helpdesk1

Orangetown Police need your help tracking down a man they believe may have tried to lure a Nyack Middle School student into his car. Police say the incident happened yesterday morning around 7:52 near the intersection of Depew Avenue and Route 9W in Nyack. The man is described as black with a medium complexion and beard, wearing a black hoodie. He was driving an older model black Lincoln town car with yellow New York license plates, tinted windows and damage to the driver’s side door. The man followed the student for approximately 500 feet before he lost sight of him, reported the incident to school administrators, who then contacted police. If you have any information about the incident, contact the Orangetown Police Detective Bureau at 845-359-2121.
