Orangetown Police Investigation into Last Week’s RBA Incident Continues

March 27, 2025 by Jeff Lewis

Thursday’s ruckus at the Rockland Business Association luncheon featuring Rockland’s congressman is still under investigation by the Orangetown Police Department. About a dozen protestors apparently from a Washington D.C.-based group called “Climate Defiance” swarmed last week’s RBA meeting as Congressman Mike Lawler was speaking. Video posted to LoHud.com shows some pushing and shoving between guests and protestors, and RBA CEO Al Samuels suspects the protestors may have had help from two people who purchased tickets and attended the luncheon. Orangetown supervisor Teresa Kenny, who was in attendance, says for some of the attendees things got pretty tense, including Stony Point Supervisor Jim Monaghan…

We reached out to “Climate Defiance” for comment but have not heard back.
