Orangetown Police: Drugs or Alcohol Apparently not Involved in Crash

October 15, 2019 by helpdesk1

An Orangeburg teen remains in critical condition at Westchester Medical Center following Sunday’s car accident in Pearl River that left two teens dead. Orangetown Police say drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the crash. Pearl River High School senior, 17 year-old Altin Nezaj was killed, along with a 15 year-old from Brooklyn. 17 year-old Aisha Radoncic of Orangeburg, also a senior at Pearl River High School, was driving a 2017 Porsche Macan around 3:30 Sunday afternoon when it went off the Route 304 overpass near Crooked Hill Road and crashed onto the New Jersey Transit tracks below, bursting into flames. A Nanuet man, who was driving a second car involved in the accident, was reportedly un-injured. The Pearl River School District’s superintendent said on their website that counselors will be available at all Pearl River schools throughout the week for students and staff. If you have any information about the incident, contact the Orangetown Police Department at 845-359-2121.
