Orangetown’s New Supervisor Sworn In; Teresa Kenny is Rockland’s First Female Supervisor

January 8, 2020 by helpdesk1

Rockland’s first female town supervisor was sworn in last night in Orangetown. Teresa Kenny defeated former supervisor Thom Kleiner after Chris Day declined to run for re-election. At last night’s town board meeting, Kenny said her priorities would be economic development…

Kenny says she will spend the next few weeks with department heads to see what kind of cost savings could ease the burdens on taxpayers. She also wants to revitalize the downtown area of Pearl River, update the town’s comprehensive plan, and move the construction of a new town hall forward.
