Optimism over a potential development project for the 26-acre Letchworth Village campus and Stony Point golf course could be waning thanks to COVID and a tepid, unpredictable economy. Stony Point supervisor Jim Monaghan told “The Morning Show” last week there’s still no deal in place for the sale of the property…
Rockland Business Association CEO Al Samuels says the project could still transform all of North Rockland and the county…
One of the items at the center of the negotiations is the town’s insistence that the developer build a community center for area seniors. It was also to include a hotel and conference center but Monaghan says it’s unclear whether the developer is still considering that for the property. A judge decided in August the property would not be on the ballot for the voters to decide its fate.
