NYS Senate Passes Bill to Protect School Districts with Less Than 180 Days of Classes this Year

New York’s senate Wednesday passed a bill that would protect those school
districts, including East Ramapo, that stand to lose funding for not
having a full 180-day school year. Rockland and Westchester state senator
David Carlucci says those districts shouldn’t lose their funding…

Carlucci thinks there’s support among lawmakers for the bill. The
legislation needs to clear the Assembly and be signed by the Governor.
