NYS Legislature Passes Bills to Set and Enforce Hospital and Nursing Home Staff Levels

Two bills passed last week in both the state Senate and Assembly with bipartisan support that would set and enforce adequate nursing staff levels in public and private New York hospitals and nursing homes. New York State Nurses Association president Judy Sheridan-Gonzalez says the pandemic added urgency to finding a solution…

The governor has not said whether he will sign the bills.
