NYS Gov: Opening the State too Soon Could Erase Progress; Rockland Lake State Park Closes

In his daily coronavirus briefing yesterday, New York’s governor said he, like everyone else, is anxious to get the state open again and functioning normally. Governor Andrew Cuomo said, however, it would be a mistake to open too soon and lose all the progress that’s been made…

The total number of cases of coronavirus across the state is now around 202,000 and close to 11,000 deaths, with nearly 3-thousand cases and 263 confirmed deaths here in Rockland. The state also agreed with area officials’ request to close Rockland Lake State Park, which closed this morning.
