Meanwhile the state Health Department announced Friday they discovered two positive samples of polio in the wastewater in Orange County last month and they were genetically linked to the case of paralytic polio identified in Rockland last July. The DOH said they continue to conduct wastewater surveillance and urge New Yorkers to ensure their children are fully immunized.
