NYS Commission on Judicial Conduct Targets Clarkstown Justice

July 8, 2020 by helpdesk1

The New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct says a Clarkstown Town Court Justice should be admonished for several instances in which he made crude remarks in court. Published reports say Judge Howard Gerber also should have disqualified himself from a case in which his impartiality could have been questioned. The incidents took place between August and November 2017. The Commission did note he had an otherwise unblemished record and he acknowledged that his conduct warranted public discipline. Judge Gerber’s been on the bench since 2007. His term expires at the end of 2023.
