NYS Bill Would Exempt First Responders from Property Taxes

May 22, 2019 by helpdesk1

Volunteer firefighters and emergency services workers could be exempt from state taxes if legislation introduced by a Rockland lawmaker passes.
western Ramapo assemblyman Karl Brabenec says the bill would provide
incentives for future volunteers…

To qualify for the income tax exemption first responders would have to
attend at least 55% of their department activities, and have a minimum one
year of service.
