Nyack Village Board Designates John Green House on Main Street an Historic Landmark

April 20, 2021 by helpdesk1

The Nyack Village Board has designated the John Green House on lower Main Street a Village Historic Landmark. It is the last of the Dutch Colonial style sandstone houses in Nyack and once belonged to John Green, a sloop captain and businessman who helped develop the village in its early days. Win Perry is president of the John Green Preservation Coalition, and says the designation can prevent it from being demolished and help the group get grants so they can restore it…
