The Village of Nyack is taking a page out of the Monty Python playbook and doing things completely different today. They’re closing Main Street from Broadway to Franklin Street and Broadway from High Avenue to Burd Street starting at 3:30 to give its retailers and restaurants a chance for some more exposure as the village enters phase two with the rest of the region. Mayor Don Hammond says they had to try something to get people to come back to Nyack…
Hammond says depending how it goes tonight they may do it again in the future. The event runs until ten pm. Municipal lots and side streets are available for free parking. Attendees are asked to wear masks and practice social distancing.
