“Nyack Forager,” Paul Tappenden, Dead at 74

October 8, 2021 by Jeff Lewis

A Nyack artist and herbalist known affectionately as “The Nyack Forager” has died. Paul Tappenden, author of the book “Edible Plants of Nyack and Beyond,” died Tuesday after being hospitalized with kidney problems and then contracting COVID-19. That’s according to the Journal News. Tappenden promoted natural health and foraging, and often praised that frequently maligned garden weed, the dandelion…

That clip courtesy of Paul’s YouTube channel. A wake will be held next week at Hanneman Funeral Home in Nyack. He was 74.
