A State Trooper was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries Friday after being struck by another car while assisting a disabled vehicle on the Thruway northbound between Harriman and Sloatsburg in the town of Tuxedo. Police say the Troopers’ car was struck from behind by a pickup truck, sending the police vehicle into the disabled SUV. The Trooper was in the car at the time of the crash, suffering non-life threatening injuries. The Trooper was taken to Hackensack Medical Center. The two occupants of the disabled vehicle were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the truck was not injured. An investigation continues.
