NY Senate, Congressional Races Set for November After Most Absentee Ballots Counted

July 13, 2020 by helpdesk1

Nyack trustee Elijah Reichlin-Melnick has won the Democratic Party primary for the 38th state Senate seat over Clarkstown Town Clerk Justin Sweet and Spring Valley Trustee Eudson Francois with just a handful of absentee ballots left to count. He’ll run against Republican Bill Weber for the seat left vacant by state senator David Carlucci who ran for Nita Lowey’s Congressional seat. He lost that race to Mondaire Jones of South Nyack, who will go up against Republican Maureen McArdle Schulman of Yorktown.
