NY Moving Ahead to Require Seat Belts Be Worn in Back Seats of Cars

May 14, 2019 by helpdesk1

A local state senator wants a law requiring everyone to wear seat belts in the back seats of cars. Rockland state senator David Carlucci held a press conference yesterday in Albany, and said it’s been almost 35 years since New York required seat belts for the front seat, and doing the same for the back will help save lives…

Senator Carlucci was joined at the press conference by John Corlett of Triple-A New York…

That was Patricia Clancy of the state Medical Society. The bill could come to the Senate floor for a vote this week.
