NY Gyms Can Open Next Week, with Restrictions

August 18, 2020 by helpdesk1

Gyms can open up again in New York, but not until next week and there are, as you might expect, lots of requirements and restrictions. Governor Andrew Cuomo says they can open at 33 percent capacity, they need the right ventilation systems, and, of course, social distancing rules must be followed…

Equipment must be cleaned after each use, local officials will get to decide whether indoor classes can be allowed, and water bottle refill stations are ok, but shared water fountains, are not.

COVID-19 by the numbers now, here in Rockland, we’ve got three in the hospital being examined, another’s been confirmed with coronavirus. The state says we’ve got 14,011 reported cases, 30 more than yesterday, and the Rockland Health Department confirms 674 fatalities here in the county, that’s unchanged for the last three weeks.
