NY Governor Signs Domestic Violence Reporting Bill

August 14, 2019 by helpdesk1

Another bill signed by the governor recently was the Domestic Violence Reporting Bill. It allows domestic violence victims to report a crime at any police station regardless of where in the state the incident happened. Rockland Assemblyman Ken Zebrowski says this will make things easier for crime victims…

The situation came to light when a Haverstraw woman’s daughter was assaulted outside of Rockland but tried to report the crime when she returned home. Angela Rivera says she’s in college now and doing well…

The new law will take effect on October 7th.
