NY Extends Eviction Prohibitions, Pearl River-based Pfizer to Seek Approval of COVID Vaccine for Kids

May 5, 2021 by helpdesk1

Residents and small businesses threatened with evictions during the pandemic are getting another reprieve. The governor has again extended the protections prohibiting residential and commercial evictions, foreclosure proceedings, credit discrimination and negative credit reporting until August 31st.

Pearl River-based Pfizer could see their COVID vaccine approved next week for use in kids between the ages of 12 and 15. It’s already approved for anyone 16 and older. The company is also on track to ask the FDA in September for emergency authorization of the vaccine for kids age 2 to 11.

COVID-19 by the numbers now, here in Rockland, the death count remains at 952, unchanged since yesterday. We’ve got 20 hospitalized confirmed with coronavirus, and 468 active cases. Our total case count is 46,388, that’s 26 more than Tuesday.
