NJ Police Officers Rescue Spring Valley Woman from Burning Car

A Spring Valley woman is lucky to be alive thanks to some off-duty Palisades Interstate Parkway police officers. Patch.com says eight officers in all were needed to rescue the 26 year-old from a burning car on the Palisades Parkway near Alpine, New Jersey, on Thursday. She had reportedly crashed in the center median and was knocked unconscious, sustaining serious injuries, including severe head trauma. She was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center in critical condition. The PIP Detective Bureau is investigating the crash.
