NJ Makes it Legal for Terminally Ill to End Their Lives

August 5, 2019 by helpdesk1

New Jersey now has a law that allows those who are terminally ill to end their lives. The “Medical Aid in Dying for the Terminally Ill Act” lets New Jersey residents who have six months or less to live request a cocktail of drugs to end their lives. Rockland state senator David Carlucci says it’s a controversial idea that’s been tossed around in New York for some time…

The New York Post reported New Jersey governor Phil Murphy signed the bill last April despite his reservations as a Catholic. This could be a major topic of discussion at Senator Carlucci’s next Senior Advisory Panel meeting, which is being held at the New City Library, Wednesday morning August 14th at 10:30.
