New Mask-wearing Rules Go Into Effect in New York

May 19, 2021 by helpdesk1

Here in New York new rules go into effect regarding mask wearing. Following new CDC guidelines if you are vaccinated, you don’t need to wear a mask or social distance, in most areas. Some places, including public transportation, nursing homes, schools and other places, still will require mask-wearing. Private venues and stores can still require mask-wearing as well. Fully-vaccinated Palisades Center shoppers, for example, won’t need to wear a mask. However, mall officials do encourage ALL guests to wear a mask anyway, as individual venues within the mall may have different requirements. Those who are not fully-vaccinated will be required to wear a mask.

COVID-19 by the numbers now, here in Rockland, no new deaths, the total unchanged since yesterday at 957. We’ve got six hospitalized confirmed with coronavirus, and 234 active cases. Our total case count is 46,704, that’s seven more than Tuesday.
