A new proposal for the former Letchworth Village property in Stony Point could come up for a vote in November. A mixed-use development project has been discussed for the area. Town supervisor Jim Monaghan says the golf course is not included in the plans, but there would be plenty of housing options, plus retail and an assisted living center…
The costs to clean up or take down the old asbestos-and-lead-paint-filled buildings remaining on the property, and others, still have to be determined by Hudson Park Group, which is behind the effort. Stony Point voters rejected a project that would have included the golf course last November. If the project is accepted once it’s formally proposed, it would go before voters this fall.
