MTA to Hold Second Public Hearing on Congestion Pricing for Suburban Commuters

The MTA is holding a second public hearing tomorrow on their congestion pricing plan for commuters going into Manhattan from the outer suburbs. North Rockland and Orange County state senator James Skoufis testified at last week’s hearing, and said there currently aren’t enough trains servicing Rockland and Orange counties to make commuting by rail a viable option…

A caller to “The Morning Show” last week suggested the West Shore line should be resurrected to help ease the commute into the city…

The congestion pricing proposal seeks to take in $1 billion a year in tolls so the MTA could fund upgrades and repairs.
