The lines have been long, but things have generally been running smoothly at Rockland’s four town hall early voting sites. Rockland County sheriff Lou Falco says there have been some instances of electioneering in each town where early voting is taking place…
Election officials in Westchester said on Tuesday they would extend early voting by an hour each day at all 17 early voting sites there, but the same won’t be happening in Rockland. In a statement, Rockland Assemblyman Ken Zebrowski said he’d ask the governor to issue an executive order to add another hour to Rockland polling sites. For now, the early voting schedule at town halls in Clarkstown, Haverstraw, Orangetown and Ramapo remains for today, 12 noon to 8PM, Friday 9 to 5, and Saturday and Sunday 9 until 2PM. There’s no early voting Monday, and Election Day is Tuesday. And you don’t have to be a resident of a particular town to vote at any town hall.
