You may have noticed your lawn isn’t doing so well…that’s because we haven’t had much rain this or last month. Wilson says we’re not in a drought yet, but things aren’t looking very good…
According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, most of California is in at least “severe” drought, half of the state is in “extreme” drought, and nearly 12% is considered to be in “exceptional” drought, that’s the worst case scenario. Wilson says for the month of June we had 2.92 inches of rain, well below the average of 4.54. Wilson says local reservoirs are at about 85% capacity so we’re not in immediate danger.
