Local Elks Club Looks to Honor Fallen Veterans Buried in Nanuet in “Wreaths Across America” Campaign

October 31, 2022 by Jeff Lewis

A local Elks club is looking to join a national movement to honor fallen veterans this holiday season and they need your help. Vietnam Veteran John Draper of the Pearl River Elks says “Wreaths Across America” is a movement to decorate the graves of deceased veterans, and the Elks and other groups are looking to honor the nearly 15-hundred buried at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Nanuet this holiday season…

Draper says they need about $15,000 to honor all those buried in St. Anthony’s. “Wreaths Across America” day is December 17th. Draper says “Dom’s To Go” in Nanuet is also helping with a fundraiser on Veterans Day, Friday, November 11th, when a portion of sales will be donated to the program. For more information on how you can help, call John Draper at 201-669-9159 or send him an email.
