Kidde Combo Smoke/CO Detectors Recalled; O&R Warns of Carbon Monoxide Dangers

May 17, 2021 by helpdesk1

More than 226,000 Kidde combination smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were recently recalled because they may fail to provide alerts in case of a fire. O&R spokesman Mike Donovan says inhaling even small amounts of carbon monoxide can lead to headaches, dizziness and nausea, and prolonged exposure can be more severe, or even fatal…

If you think you have a carbon monoxide problem or smell natural gas, leave the area immediately and call 911 and O&R’s emergency gas hotline at 1-800-533-LEAK (5325). For more details on the recall, click here for the US Consumer Product Safety Commission’s recall notice.
