Infrastructure Bill to Delay MTA Fare Hikes and Service Cuts

The MTA won’t hike fares or cut service as they had been threatening, at least not yet. Governor Kathy Hochul said yesterday the $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill will help take care of that and other projects for the foreseeable future…

The MTA said they’ll be putting off fare increases for at least six months and the service cuts scheduled to start in two years will be postponed “indefinitely.”
