Hyde Park Man Charged with Sending Suspicious White Powder to Federal Offices

A 34 year-old Hyde Park man has reportedly been arrested for mailing letters with white powder along with a note suggesting it was Anthrax to about a dozen federal offices in New York and Connecticut, including the West Nyack Social Security office. Jason Pantone was charged last week in Albany. The U.S. Attorney’s Office said the powder tested has so far come back negative. Pantone faces up to five years in prison.
