Hundreds Remain without Power in Rockland Following Monday Storms

April 14, 2020 by helpdesk1

Thousands were without power yesterday as powerful storms came across Rockland and Westchester, bringing down tree limbs and power lines on the Congers Road Causeway in Clarkstown and Old Tappan Road in Tappan, among others. There are still pockets of customers without electricity in the county, down from the more than 25,000 customers across the O&R service area that lost power yesterday. O&R says Restoration efforts will continue into this evening. By the way, if you see a downed power line don’t go near it, just call your local police and notify O&R.
