HEAP Now Accepting Applicants for Heating Bill Assistance

November 25, 2019 by helpdesk1

Low-income families in Rockland County can now apply for grants to help pay their heating bills under New York’s Home Energy Assistance Program, also known as HEAP. Rockland County Executive Ed Day says the amount of the benefit depends on income and family size…

Rockland State senator David Carlucci says if you need help filling out the forms, his office can provide assistance…

You can call Senator Carlucci’s office with help or questions about the HEAP program — call 845-623-3627. Payments would be made directly to the utility company. New HEAP applicants can apply online at www.mybenefits.ny.gov or by mail. To apply in person, call the Department of Social Services for an appointment. The number is 845-364-3480 or 364-3212, weekdays between 8 AM and 5 PM.
