A Haverstraw man was charged with DWI after allegedly crashing into a utility pole and causing a fire on the roadway. Ramapo Police say they responded to the scene on North Main Street in Hillcrest just after midnight early Saturday morning. Police say the driver, an unidentified 35-year-old, was not injured in the crash. He was arrested and is set to return to Ramapo Justice Court at a later date.
