The 27 year-old Haverstraw man accused in the fatal hit-and-run incident Christmas Eve in Stony Point has been arrested by ICE. Jorge Flores-Villalba is accused of leaving the scene after striking 35-year-old Marie Rose Osai, who was killed crossing the intersection of Route 9W and Filors Lane almost two weeks ago. He was reportedly in the country illegally, didn’t have a driver’s license, and was released without bail thanks to the new criminal justice reform laws that took effect Wednesday. Flores-Villalba had been scheduled to return to Stony Point Court this Thursday.
