The group “Moms Demand Action” of Rockland County will be marking Gun Violence Awareness Day tonight at 7pm in Nyack. The group will be wearing orange at Nyack Memorial Park, there’ll be a concert and a Tappan Zee bridge-lighting to bring attention to the more than 200 mass shootings so far this year in the U.S. According to Patch.com, the group would like to see common sense gun safety, including background checks before guns are sold, responsible gun storage, and risk-protection under enforced red flag laws.
