Grievance Day Next Week in NYS

May 24, 2019 by helpdesk1

If you think you’re paying too much in property taxes this year, you have
until Tuesday to file a grievance. Generally, according to the New York
State department of taxation and finance, if the assessor’s estimate of
your home’s market value reflects the amount for which you could sell your
property, then your assessment is fair. Naomi Streicher of Realty Teams in
Pomona
says you still have a right to challenge your home’s assessed
value…

Grievance Day in New York is next Tuesday, but sometimes it varies in
different villages, so check with your local assessor. For more
information visit tax.ny.gov.
