In a statement, Rockland County Executive Ed Day said Rockland and other counties in the state have legitimate concerns as conditions, infrastructure, and resources vary with union and day laborer jobs already scarce. Day noted Rockland has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the state and a housing crisis that organic migration makes more complicated.
